Get involved
We're always on the look out for new people near Edinburgh opposed to ID cards and the database state.
We have a number of ways you can help us with our campaign. If you'd like to get more involved in our activities, please come and talk to us at one of our meetings or on Princes Street every Saturday afternoon.
You may also want to join the national NO2ID campaign, of which we are part.
Petition
Please sign our petition and demonstrate your anger and concern about the Government's plans. This is the same petition we have on the weekly campaign stall.
We the undersigned believe that the growth of the database state is a threat to freedom in Britain.
We demand in the name of privacy and liberty that:
- Government bodies must cease all unnecessary collecting of personal information about law- abiding residents of the United Kingdom.
- The passing of personal information between government bodies, or using it for new purposes, without the genuine, informed consent of the persons concerned or a specific warrant from a court must stop.
We call on the government to:
- Establish positive protections in law for individual privacy, and
- Give everyone a right to compensation from anyone who uses our personal information in an unauthorised way.

Mailing list
You can join our announcements list, which carries details of upcoming meetings, demonstrations and activities. It typically sends out one message every month.

Campaign stall
We are always keen to hear from new volunteers to help run the weekly street stall on Princes Street.
Volunteers man the stall on a rota basis, typically covering one Saturday every four weeks. After a couple of hours of talking to the public, we then go for a hot drink nearby.
Get involved
Please contact Dr John Welford, NO2ID Edinburgh coordinator, if you would like to get involved in any way.
